What’s On
There is a lot going on at theMadrid Marathon 2023. Throughout the weekend, you will enjoy activities for all tastes. For example, on the Friday before the marathon, 21 April, the Expo Deporte will take place at IFEMA, an exhibition showcasing all kinds of products and services related to running.
And Sunday is the big day, the day of the Madrid Marathon! The start will be at 9 am in Plaza de Gregorio Marañón on Paseo de la Castellana and the finish line will be located on Paseo de Recoletos between Plaza de Cibeles and Plaza de Colón. There are several options for participants, ranging from the full marathon to the 10 km race. The course is designed so that you can enjoy incredible views of some of the city’s most iconic sights as you run.
Remember, the most important thing is to enjoy the experience and take care of your safety. Don’t forget to stay well hydrated and wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

What is the route?
Route ZURICH
After the start on the Paseo de la Castellana, the runners will head to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. Afterwards, you will visit some of the most famous spots in the city, such as Retiro Park, Gran Vía and Puerta del Sol.
In addition, the Madrid Marathon 2023 is full of surprises and excitement. You will be able to enjoy the energy of the other runners and the festive atmosphere all around you.
Other distances
Not ready to run the 42 km Madrid Marathon? Don’t worry, because the organisers have also thought about people who do shorter distances. On 23 April, you can enjoy the Half Marathon (21 kilometres), which also starts at 9am, and the 10k, which starts at 8am.
